Event Coordinator Role

The Event Coordinator will be responsible for planning, designing and producing events within tight deadlines.

Liaising with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations is crucial for delivering customer satisfaction.

The role involves proposing ideas to improve services and event quality in weekly meetings.

An organized approach is required to manage all event details including facilities, decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, special guests, equipment, promotional material etc.

Ensuring compliance with hotel management policies and procedures is vital.

Specifying staff requirements for each event and coordinating their activities are key aspects of the job.

Collaboration with logistics and warehouse departments is necessary to ensure timely delivery of supplies and accessories.

Maintaining an updated event calendar ensures pre-arrangements for upcoming events.

Proactive issue resolution and troubleshooting on the event day are essential.

Conducting pre- and post-event evaluations and reporting outcomes to senior management is also a responsibility of this role.

Job Specifications

This role requires ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and targets.

Flexibility to work outside regular hours is necessary.

Able to lead and manage operations teams effectively.

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Calendars, PowerPoint) is required.
