Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented professional to take on a leadership role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cloud-based infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to SLAs as per contract, and lead urgent issues and projects with clear communication of statuses and appropriate staffing resources.
  • Design, build, support, and manage engineering activities related to cloud initiatives, and develop automation modules using Puppet technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Linux, Networking, Load Balancing, and other tech stack areas.
  • Develop and implement environments for quality assurance, development, etc., and deploy applications in a cloud environment.
  • Responsible for infrastructure security, ensuring secure, reliable, scalable, and automated environments.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure new environments meet requirements and conform to best practices.
  • Design, implement, and test agreed-upon infrastructures, and automate deployment of Linux applications, system configurations, and security settings.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or similar relevant field, with minimum 3-7 years of experience in the industry.
  • Working knowledge of tools like Jenkins, AWS, Cloud Formation, Ansible, Subversion, Docker, or relevant.
  • Strong experience in cloud-hosted environment administration, at least one popular cloud IAAS platform (e.g., AWS).
  • DevOps – familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tooling.
  • Virtualization – Facility with server, application, and desktop virtualization techniques, and data center requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools (Ansible, Chef) and infrastructure tools (Terraform, Cloud Formation). CI/CD toolchain experience (Kubernetes).
  • Basic scripting experience (Python, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Experience with Linux distributions (Rhel 8, CentOS, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux).
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
