Job Title

We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee our research management operations.

About the Role

This position provides strategic leadership and direction to the research office, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing research projects, fostering collaborations, and working with donor agencies.

The Research Office supports the institution's externally and internally sponsored projects by providing pre- and post-award support to PIs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Pre-Award Support
    • Developing and maintaining administrative procedures for externally sponsored projects
    • Supporting faculty with grant proposal submissions, including budget development and award documentation
  • Post-Award Support
    • Managing research grants, including projections, effort allocations, and reporting
    • Closing out awards and ensuring compliance with sponsor regulations
  • Research Strategy
    • Fostering multidisciplinary collaborations among research faculty across departments and colleges
    • Identifying programmatic strategies for research that promote collaboration within the university
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A Master's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of research administration, including pre- and post-award processes, budgeting, compliance, and grant management
  • Experience in fostering multidisciplinary collaborations, developing research infrastructure, and managing stakeholder relationships
