Medication Control Manager Pharmacist

The position of Medication Control Manager requires a highly skilled pharmacist to oversee the dispensation and distribution of medications in Nawabshah, Karachi Division.
- Responsibilities include coordinating with pharmacists, ensuring proper handover protocols are followed, and providing daily reports to the Pharmacy Services Manager.
- Supervise the unit-dose drug dispensation process, reviewing patients' profiles and CPOE to prevent drug interactions and promote rational drug use. Collaborate with physicians to address inaccuracies in orders or non-availability of medicines, providing relevant documentation to Clinical Pharmacists.
- Evaluate requisitions for accuracy and ensure prompt delivery of unit-dose medications to Nursing units. Monitor and manage inventory stock levels, suggesting changes as necessary to maintain optimal levels.
- Prepare and forward requisitions to the Pharmacy store in a timely manner, receiving goods from the store, physically inspecting, and shelving stock in the correct location at the specified temperature.
- Provide current and accurate drug information to healthcare professionals upon request, maintaining records according to specified protocols.
- Compile monthly reports detailing fast-moving/slow-moving/short expiry/expired/broken, damaged items, providing management with key performance indicators.
- Conduct regular inspections of Nursing units and clinics to monitor storage and distribution of patient floor stock, controlled drugs, and emergency medications, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
- Offer technical and administrative support, conducting relevant staff training to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Ensure high-alert medications are labeled correctly, providing related precautions and information for safe administration.
- Present educational content on various topics for Continuing Medical Education (CMEs).
- Maintain accurate documentation of interventions, drug information, and related information, providing management with updates and KPI reports.
- Monitor temperatures and maintain related documentation accurately.
