About the Opportunity:

This leadership position will oversee US federal, state, and local tax compliance and planning, reviewing complex returns and advising on tax strategy. This role is ideal for someone with strong US tax expertise and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns (corporate, partnership, individual, and/or trust returns).
  • Develop and execute tax planning strategies to optimize tax efficiency and mitigate risks.
  • Represent the company in tax audits and regulatory examinations; manage responses to notices and inquiries.
  • Provide guidance on mergers, acquisitions, entity structuring, and other strategic transactions.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train tax staff and managers; foster a culture of professional growth and continuous learning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's in Taxation and/or CPA/EA certification preferred).
  • Strong experience with US federal, state, and local tax compliance and planning.
  • Solid understanding of US tax law and reporting standards.
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring tax teams.
