About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Strategic Partnership Development Executive to join our team. As a key member of our business development function, you will be responsible for identifying and building strategic partnerships with colleges and universities in the USA and Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to understand the specific challenges and needs of the education sector.
  • Develop strategies for engaging with institutional clients, creating proposals, and presenting our value proposition to academic decision-makers.
  • Manage the sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Pitch our platform to educational leaders, showcasing how it enhances student engagement and academic performance.
  • Negotiate terms and finalize contracts.
  • Bauild long-term relationships with universities to ensure deep understanding of evolving needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement our platform within partnered institutions.
  • Expand existing partnerships by identifying opportunities for upselling or introducing new features.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in higher education sector and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Attend educational conferences and networking events to increase visibility and attract potential partners.
  • Track key performance indicators related to business development efforts.
  • Lead business development function including hiring and managing Business Development Executives as the company grows.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • English language fluency with American Accent preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record of closing large deals with academic institutions and building strategic partnerships.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to gather insights from data and market trends.
  • Ability to think strategically about growth opportunities while being hands-on in execution.
  • Outstanding relationship-building skills with ability to develop trust and rapport with senior academic stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with academic ecosystem including decision-making processes within colleges and universities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or related field with MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.

Experience

  • 2+ years experience in business development, sales, or partnerships preferably within education sector or EdTech.
