Job SummaryAs a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the engineering team in the design, development, and implementation of Orifice metering systems. You will ensure the accuracy and reliability of gas measurement operations, undertake preventive and breakdown maintenance of Orifice Metering and associated flow computers, and review and analyze monthly gas metering data.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and Ensure Safe Operations
- Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations of Orifice metering setups installed throughout the region.
- Undertake necessary measures for the preventive and breakdown maintenance of Orifice Metering and associated flow computers.
- Undertake calibration and verification of instruments at all metering stations to ensure the accuracy of the metering station.
- Review and analyze monthly gas metering data to ensure its correctness and reliability.
- Undertake the installation and commissioning of the Orifice metering systems and/or upgrading of existing setup as per operational requirement.
- Undertake Joint Meter Check activity with the Distribution department in a timely manner for the gas volume recorded at Sales Metering Stations in the region.
- Periodic assessment of the available operationally required spares and materials in conjunction with the Planning & Procurement team to ensure that necessary spares and equipment are arranged for smooth execution of measurement-related activities at gas measuring stations.
- Ensure that field activity/maintenance activity reports are duly filled, signed, and documentation record is maintained.
- Ensure implementation of HSE guidelines during field activities for the safety of personnel and the facility.
Education and Qualifications: Engineering Graduate in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Chemical / Petroleum / Electronics with at least 04 years of post-qualification experience preferable in Oil and Gas / Public Sector.
Skills and Abilities: Strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong analytical skills.
Work Environment: This role requires frequent travel to various locations within the region. The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt to changing priorities.
