Medical Transcriptionist

We are seeking an experienced medical transcriptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transcribing dictated notes from various sources, including patient histories, physical examinations, and discharge summaries.

Your duties will include reviewing and editing transcribed reports for spelling, grammar, clarity, consistency, and proper medical terminology. You will also be responsible for returning dictated reports in printed or electronic form for physicians' review and signature.

In addition to your transcription duties, you may be required to provide reception coverage as needed and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science
  • One year of in-house training or two years of related work experience
  • Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English
  • Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Able to operate transcription equipment and work effectively in teams
