The Division:

CRB Cunninghams is the UK market leader in identity management, cashless catering, and online payment solutions, serving over 3,000 schools with our national service and support team.

The Job:

We seek an experienced Senior SQA Analyst with expertise in manual and automation testing to join our CRBC R&D team in the UK.

This role will be involved in implementing both manual and automated testing solutions and contributing to the development of a new team of developers and testers to meet CRB Cunninghams' growth objectives.

The successful hire will be located and work out of the Contour Software Islamabad office, as part of the resource-center team, extending the division-based R&D department in the UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Review and approve automated test scripts
  • Ensure excellent understanding of technical requirements
  • Integrate automated testing in CI/CD pipelines
  • Communicate findings effectively
  • Verify defects and fixes
  • Offer unbiased advice and opinions
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Development and the Test department
  • Work independently and collaboratively with the team
  • Mentor and support other QA's
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent technical degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 6+ years of professional experience in manual testing
  • 2+ recent years of professional experience in automation testing
  • Good DevOps and CI/CD knowledge
  • Up-to-date QA processes and standards best practices
  • Strong understanding of security testing
  • Strong understanding of performance/load testing
  • Experience with Selenium WebDriver/MSCoded UI with C#/NUnit (for Microsoft Web Apps)
  • Reasonable knowledge/experience of WinAppDriver (for MS Desktop - WinForms)
  • Knowledge/experience with reading/parsing XML data files
  • Good knowledge of MS SQL; writing moderate queries
  • Proficiency in manual testing, approaches/techniques, test planning, and execution
  • Knowledge of version control software, such as SVN or Git
  • Knowledge of software lifecycle specifically those areas related to testing
  • Experience with issue tracking software, such as JIRA
  • Excellent leadership and presentation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced level of ISTQB qualification
  • Experience interfacing with online payment portals
  • Agile-Scrum/Kanban development process exposure
  • Knowledge/experience with VB Scripting or equivalent
  • Test scripting and recording (e.g. TestRail)
