Elevator Technician Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Elevator Electrical & Mechanical Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of elevator systems, including electrical and mechanical components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair elevators, escalators, and moving walkways.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure proper functioning of equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using testing equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair work to avoid system failures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety codes and government regulations.
  • Collaborate with the team to resolve any complex technical issues.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical documents.
  • Maintain detailed service records for each project.
  • Provide emergency repairs as needed.
Job Specification

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Certifications: Technical diploma or certificate in electrical/mechanical engineering or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in elevator installation, maintenance, or repair.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing both electrical and mechanical components.
  • Strong understanding of control systems, motors, drives, and power supply systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and electrical drawings.
  • Good knowledge of safety protocols and industry standards (OSHA, EN 81, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
