  • Administration of PostgreSQL, Redis, and ES clusters throughout the development and production lifecycles
  • Drive Postgres partition and sharding strategies to support rapidly growing data volume
  • Monitor performance issues on all production and non-production databases, implementing performance monitoring and trending. Identify performance bottlenecks and regression before they impact customers.
  • Assist development groups in optimizing SQL statements, designing databases, and improving database security and standards
  • Manage backup, replication, and disaster recovery functions for the database environments
  • Participate in capacity planning as it relates to production databases
  • Develop and maintain processes for optimizing database security and standards

Job Requirements:
  • 4+ years PostgreSQL Database Administration experience
  • In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL Architecture
  • Working knowledge of Linux and shell scripting
  • Experience with database performance tuning, query optimization, and issue troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of database management principles, data security, and backup/recovery procedures
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
