Job Overview

A Facilities Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of a team responsible for managing building operations and maintenance. The role involves coordinating with technicians, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely completion of facility repairs and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of professionals, providing formal supervision, monitoring training and development, conducting performance evaluations, and coaching staff as needed.
  • Establish work schedules, assign tasks, cross-train staff, set deadlines, and track progress.
  • Manage facility inspections, quality assurance, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain positive client relationships, conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues, and resolve complex problems.
  • Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
  • Perform regular facility audits and implement operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required. Valid driver's license necessary.
  • Leadership skills, ability to motivate teams, and influence stakeholders to achieve objectives.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
