Job Description

As a Department Head, you will oversee the production process to ensure smooth and uninterrupted flow. This involves coordinating with other departments to identify areas for improvement and implementing changes to increase productivity.

You will be responsible for ensuring delivery commitments are met, on time and of high quality. This includes working closely with the production team to plan activities, reduce rejection rates, and increase overall efficiency.

Your role will also involve providing guidance and direction to the team, including setting performance standards, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and managing departmental resources.

In addition, you will be expected to promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging staff to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving initiatives through Value-Added/Value Engineering (VA/VE) activities.

Other responsibilities include identifying development needs and training requirements for existing and new staff members, as well as reporting progress and actions to management on a regular basis.

Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require strong leadership and communication skills, as well as knowledge of stamping, injection molding, and assemblies. You should also be able to provide a safe and healthy work environment for employees.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and be able to analyze data to inform decision-making. They will also be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
