Job Title

A Cloud & Systems Trainee will assist with daily IT support operations, infrastructure tasks, and cloud migration projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud concepts, Linux, Windows Operating Systems, and networking basics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily IT support operations (issue resolution, ticket tracking, user requests)
  • Participate in infrastructure tasks, including server maintenance, backups, and documentation
  • Support ongoing cloud migration projects and deployments (Azure/AWS)
  • Help maintain active directory, asset inventory, and endpoint security systems
  • Document configurations, processes, and technical guides for internal use
  • Provide support during system upgrades, patching, and monitoring tasks
  • Collaborate with the team on automation tasks (scripts, monitoring setups, etc.)
Requirements
  • Technical Foundations:
    • Understanding of cloud concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and hands-on experience with Azure or AWS
    • Familiarity with Linux and Windows Operating Systems
    • Basic command-line experience (Bash, PowerShell)
    • Understanding of networking basics: IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls
  • Support & Troubleshooting:
    • Basic troubleshooting of laptops, printers, and user issues
    • Experience or familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, Zendesk)
    • Good documentation and organization skills
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong communication and teamwork
    • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work in a dynamic environment
    • Attention to detail and accountability in task execution
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field
    • Relevant certifications (Azure Fundamentals, AWS Cloud Practitioner, CCNA) are a plus
