Job Description:

The role of a Cloud Security Expert is to ensure the security and integrity of an organization's cloud-based infrastructure and information systems. This involves identifying potential security risks, implementing measures to mitigate those risks, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

This includes evaluating and assessing the security posture of the on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and services. It also involves assessing and implementing security tools and controls for cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, to enhance the security posture.

The Cloud Security Expert will configure and monitor on-premises and cloud security tools and services, including firewalls, IAM policies and permissions. They will also perform network administrative functions for WAN connectivity, international sites, and multi-homing internet gateways.

The role requires hands-on experience with Cisco and Dell managed switch series. The Cloud Security Expert will develop, implement, and maintain information security policies, procedures, and standards. They will maintain InfoSec records as per ISO 27001 standards.

The Cloud Security Expert will lead and facilitate ISO ISMS 27001 (2013 & 2022) information security assessments and audits (internal and external). They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare for audits, address security concerns, and provide recommendations.

The Cloud Security Expert will conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities. They will stay up-to-date on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.

They will provide guidance and support to internal teams, conduct security awareness training, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the security posture. The Cloud Security Expert will monitor and analyze security alerts and events to identify and respond to security incidents.

They will document security incidents and their resolution for future reference. To be successful in this role, the Cloud Security Expert must have strong knowledge of ISO 27001:2013 & ISO 27001:2022 standards.

Required Skills:
  • CCNA certification is mandatory, ideally CCNP | Fortinet NSE | Palo Alto PCNSA.
  • Proven experience in cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is necessary.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., SQL, PowerShell) for automation and orchestration is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in leading information security audits is required.
  • 2-3+ years of experience in cloud and on-premises infrastructure, network, and system administration is required.
