Instrumentation and Design Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation and Design Engineer to join our team.

About the Job:

This is a key position in our discipline engineering group, requiring minimal supervision to coordinate with project leads, contractors, clients, and vendors for instrumentation engineering activities.

  • Lead small to medium-sized instrumentation projects, ensuring methodical and timely completion.
  • Effectively plan and follow up on scheduled activities.
  • Participate in studies, conceptual designs, and estimate preparation as required.
  • Prepare instrumentation engineering design documents, drawings, specifications, and installation guidelines for process instruments and control systems.
  • Conduct technical reviews with vendors/contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.
  • Review and comment on P&IDs, layouts, and other key documents, considering safety, operability, and simplicity.
  • Ensure all project work meets agreed codes and practices, contract specifications, and technical briefs.
  • Validate engineering data sheets, specifications, requisitions, and other deliverables against project scope requirements.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and monitor work progress and quality within the discipline area.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering (B Eng).
  • Minimum ten years of experience in instrumentation design and project deliveries.
  • Proficient in industry codes and standards (API, BS, ISO, ASME, ANSI, IEC, ISA, IEEE, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with management and multinational staff.
