Job Overview:

The role of a QA Architect involves the design and development of test automation frameworks, harnesses, and code libraries to enable teams to utilize and enhance them across successive projects.

This position requires consultation on complex testing strategies for projects, taking the lead on urgent issues, and ensuring statuses are properly communicated.

Key responsibilities include providing technical know-how, documentation, and training to test and other business functions.

The successful candidate will stay up-to-date on process, practice, and technology developments to ensure they are brought in-house and enhance solutions applied to testing problems.

This includes identifying tools and technologies that can be implemented, aligning with existing tools used across the broader development function and in line with the skill-set of the team.

The QA Architect will possess broad awareness of testing approaches, practices, and techniques to help design and deliver the overall testing methodology used by the team.

An essential responsibility is creating and validating automated scripts that support Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines.

Additionally, this role leads in defining and implementing direction on automation techniques and adherence to standards.

Applying Testing Lifecycle Management principles in the context of a project is also crucial.

Mentoring the entire quality assurance team and evaluating candidates for open positions are also key tasks.
Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the professional industry.
  • Experience with performance and usability testing.
  • Experience with Selenium using Java, JMeter, Appium, and Git.
  • Ability to build and use testing frameworks for release engineering.
  • Agile/Scrum experience is essential.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the engineering team.
  • A flexible attitude and versatile personality.
