As a Chief Facilities and Administrative Officer, you will play a key role in leading our Facilities Management Division at Aga Khan University. Your primary responsibility will be to formulate a clear strategic direction for technical services and processes, ensuring that our division's vision, mission, and values are upheld.

Responsibilities
  • Planning, coordinating, and leading initiatives of all technical and other services falling under the Facilities Management Division, ensuring efficient services to users
  • Developing and implementing quality management systems to ensure consistency with University plans and regulatory requirements
  • Leading a team of diversified professionals and promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

The ideal candidate will have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field from a recognized university, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical. They should also have a minimum of 10 to 12 years of progressive experience managing facilities, staff supervision, budget management, training programs, or other related areas in a large multi-size organization.

Requirements
  • Technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, power plant, biomedical/electronics, etc.
  • Leadership and management skills with the ability to develop and implement plans to achieve departmental objectives
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to describe complex ideas in clear and meaningful forms and to present data and information to various audiences
