Dynamic Leader for Jinnah School of Public Policy and Leadership

NUST seeks an experienced leader to head the JSPPL, driving innovation and excellence in higher education.

The Principal will play a pivotal role in institution-building by setting academic direction, leading faculty recruitment, building partnerships, and ensuring impact-oriented teaching, research, and policy engagement.

Key Qualifications:
  • PhD in a relevant social science discipline from a reputable HEC-recognized institute.

The candidate must have publications and experience as per HEC criteria for faculty appointments. Preferably, they should have:

  • At least 15 years of relevant academic, research, and leadership experience grounded in higher education.
  • A strong record of scholarly publications in reputable journals with a significant impact factor.
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership roles, such as Dean, Director, or Chairperson.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute the strategic plan for the establishment and growth of JSPPL.
  • Design and implement rigorous academic programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels in governance and public policy.
  • Operationalize practitioners courses / certifications / training modules for continuous professional education and mid and senior leadership training.
  • Introduce innovative pedagogical practices including simulations, policy labs, and field-based research.
  • Lead faculty recruitment, development, and performance in line with international standards.
