Sales Excellence in the Medical Devices Industry
Overview:
The Area Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in achieving sales targets, fostering strong client relationships, and expanding market presence within a defined geographical area, focusing on the medical devices sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieving monthly/quarterly/yearly sales targets within agreed timelines through strategic planning and execution.
- Maintaining optimal stock levels at institutional, customer, and distributor levels to ensure seamless delivery.
- Implementing effective marketing strategies and plans to drive sales growth.
- Pursuing new business opportunities by developing relationships with key decision-makers in the defined geography or Pakistan market.
- Nurturing strong, credible relationships with C-suite executives of respective customers.
- Cultivating market feedback and building product advocacy through regular visits to clinics, hospitals, and other healthcare institutions.
- Enhancing product, disease, and market knowledge through self-directed reading and attending relevant training sessions assigned by management.
- Executing productive database-driven sales calls to maximize sales potential.
- Maintaining a high level of corporate image and adhering to ethical standards.
- Developing in-depth knowledge of large account profiles in their territory and updating this information as required.
- Contributing to tender business preparation and recommendations.
- Maintaining existing large accounts and ensuring their continued satisfaction.
- Providing regular reports on day-to-day activities and taking on additional tasks assigned by management as needed.
Requirements:
- University degree in science or a related field (lab) or a Marketing degree with an aptitude for medical/technical information.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in the sales of medical devices.
