Job Title: Cell Site Power Infrastructure Specialist

The role of the Cell Site Power Infrastructure Specialist involves ensuring the installation and maintenance of cell site infrastructure is conducted safely and efficiently.

  • Troubleshooting electrical issues
  • Maintaining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of Mobile Base Unit (MBU)
  • Inspecting and maintaining power equipment to ensure proper functioning
  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS)
  • Performing troubleshooting and diagnostic testing of Rectifiers and Rectifier batteries
  • Identifying and troubleshooting Diesel Generator problems and failures
  • Performing Acceptance Testing and Verification (ATP) of Diesel Generators after overhauling
  • Identifying and rectifying DCACs
  • Resolving Commercial supply faults

This position requires a strong focus on safety and efficiency in tower operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring all tower operations are conducted safely and efficiently
  • Reporting safety hazards or concerns to supervisors
  • Maintaining accurate records of tower operations
  • Managing telco spares and inventory at cell sites
  • Ensuring Preventive Maintenance (PMs) are performed by vendors with quality, and sites are audited regularly
  • Resolving sales & corporate complaints of assigned MBU within 24 hours
  • Interpreting technical drawings and specifications for proper tower component installation
  • Following all safety regulations and Health Safety Environment (HSE) protocols
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or Associate Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in telecommunication installation and maintenance of power infrastructure
  • Knowledge of tower components and tools
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Hands-on experience with Power infrastructure on BTS Cell Sites, both AC & DC, Rectifiers, and RMS troubleshooting
  • Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of telco and non-telco equipment
  • Flexible working hours for operational emergencies
