Job Description

The Social Media Manager will oversee the company's social media marketing and advertising initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic planning and goal setting to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Development of brand awareness and online reputation through content creation and engagement strategies.
  • Management of social media campaigns, including content curation, publishing, and analytics tracking.
  • Cultivation of leads and sales through effective content promotion and social advertising.
  • Design and implementation of visual identity elements, such as Facebook Timeline covers and Twitter profiles.

This role requires a strong understanding of traditional marketing principles, social media platforms, and their respective participants. The ideal candidate should possess excellent writing and language skills, be proficient in content marketing theory and application, and have experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.

ResponsibilitiesBrand Development

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive brand strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.

Identify Target Customers

The candidate will need to identify and understand the target audience, including their preferences, behaviors, and pain points, to create engaging content and build a loyal community.

Set Clear Objectives

The Social Media Manager will set clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of social media campaigns and make data-driven decisions to optimize results.

Visual Design and Web Development Strategy

The candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing a visual identity system that reflects the company's brand and values, including social media profile designs, website layouts, and content graphics.

Engagement Strategy

The Social Media Manager will develop and implement an engagement strategy that fosters two-way communication with the target audience, builds brand loyalty, and drives business results.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in social media marketing, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Excellent writing and language skills, with the ability to create compelling content and craft persuasive messaging.
  • Proficient in content marketing theory and application, including content creation, curation, and distribution.
  • Experience with social media advertising, including campaign setup, targeting, and optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to inform social media strategies.
  • Familiarity with web design and development principles, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience with SEO principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and other web analytics tools.
  • Experience with social media management tools, including Hootsuite, Sprout Social, and Buffer.
