Job Title: Assistant Manager Purchase

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the purchase of inventory items in accordance with company policies and quality standards to ensure timely availability of materials.

  1. Manage quotations, price negotiations, and review purchase orders and bank documents for procurement of imported/local materials.
  2. Coordinate clearance of consignments by working closely with local regulatory bodies and clearing agents.
  3. Streamline shipment receiving and handing over.
  4. Arrange import permissions from relevant authorities.
  5. Facilitate vendor audits.
  6. Develop alternative sources of materials.
  7. Devising contingency plans for delays/loss in production process.
  8. Coordinate with Quality Control for approval of receiving reports.
  9. Verify supplier/agent bills to finance.
  10. Maintain proper documentation of approvals and rejections.
  11. Prepare cost analyses.
  12. Review purchase policies and guidelines to provide non-inventory items for smooth day-to-day operations.
  13. Analyze information regarding purchase orders utilizing out-of-network vendors; identify, research, and resolve purchasing issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.

- Strong communication skills are essential.

- Effective negotiation skills are necessary.

- Sound knowledge of customs laws and applicable duties & taxes is required.

- Good understanding of Ministry of Health requirements.

- Familiarity with banking procedures involved in importing materials/drugs is essential.
