Financial Compliance Specialist Job

Job Overview:

The Financial Compliance Specialist will oversee key compliance systems/initiatives, prioritize system enhancements/upgrades, and automate functionalities based on possibilities. This role requires expertise in Fircosoft screening solutions, familiarity with Continuity, Trust, and FSK – Screen & Keep, and prior experience with De-rap, ERF, Pairing, Stripping detector.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and own screening systems/initiatives including Fircosoft for customer screening and payment screening.
  2. Evaluate system control and compliance issues, assess related risks, and recommend resolutions.

Problem Solving Skills:

The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to create root cause analysis documents for defects/incidents and provide permanent fixes/solutions.

Decision Making Authority & Responsibility:

  1. Oversee day-to-day management and ownership of key compliance systems/initiatives – Screening Solution across new locations.
  2. Prioritize system enhancements/upgrades.
  3. Automate functionalities based on possibilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Demonstrate expertise in Fircosoft screening solutions.
  2. Familiarity with Continuity, Trust, and FSK – Screen & Keep.
  3. Prior experience with De-rap, ERF, Pairing, Stripping detector is an advantage.
  4. Awareness of global standards in AML, KYC, FATF, Sanctions is desirable.
  5. Strong Unix/Linux Shell Script programming skills.
  6. Proficiency in exploring tools to connect with Linux and Windows OS.
  7. Familiarity with Windows batch scripting to automate file generation and movement.
  8. Expertise in Oracle and MS SQL with (SQL, PLSQL).
  9. Knowledge of Perl scripting.
  10. Ability to customize reports based on compliance/business requirements.
  11. Strong system integration experience.
  12. Banking domain knowledge is essential.
  13. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  14. Self-motivated, decisive, with adaptability to change and competing demands.
  15. Awareness of regulations governing bank's business processes is necessary.
  16. Knowledge of working with various database formats and file formats, conducting data analysis and analytics.
  17. Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  18. Skills in Dot Net Sharepoint, Power BI are a plus.
  19. Working knowledge of software development methods and techniques and ability to adapt to Agile model.
  20. Familiarity with UNIX OS, programming languages, and development tools.
  21. Strong technical knowledge in required application areas.
  22. Bachelor's Degree as a minimum from a recognized university (preferably computer science or similar).
  23. Financial Crime qualifications are an added advantage.
  24. At least 3-8 years of experience in the financial services or IT sector.
  25. Familiarity with Compliance and Financial Crime related systems.
  26. Prior experience and exposure to Fircosoft screening solutions.
