Job Title: Account Recovery Expert

Location: Remote

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 9 AM to 6 PM BST & Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Debt Management Strategy:
  • Regularly review customer accounts to ensure timely payments.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all debtor accounts.
Effective Debt Collection:
  • Follow up on outstanding payments through calls, emails, and letters.
  • Negotiate repayment plans with clients, if necessary.
  • Follow up on overdue accounts to minimize debtor days.
Credit Risk Assessment and Approval:
  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential customers using financial data, credit reports, and other sources.
  • Approve or reject credit applications based on company policies.
Performance Reporting:
  • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable, outstanding debts, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Provide updates to management on problematic accounts or high-risk customers.
Dispute Resolution and Reconciliation:
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or disputes in customer accounts.
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to clarify any billing issues.
Compliance and Documentation Standards:
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and UK financial standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation of credit agreements and correspondence with customers.
Customer Relationship Building:
  • Build strong relationships with clients to facilitate smooth payment processes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while managing delicate financial discussions.
Support for Legal Action:
  • Work with legal teams to initiate legal proceedings against non-paying clients when necessary.
  • Support the preparation of evidence and documentation for court cases, if required.
Process Improvement Initiatives:
  • Recommend improvements to the credit control process to minimize risk and enhance efficiency.
  • Stay updated on market trends and industry practices to adapt strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum degree in Accounting and Finance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
