About the Role

The OSP Design Engineer is a key member of our team responsible for conducting fiber optic detailed network design for middle mile and last mile fiber-based networks or Fiber to the Home projects.

This role requires an in-depth understanding of fiber optic design standards and industry processes. A working knowledge of GIS/CAD design support software programs and close coordination with Field Engineering and Construction staff are also essential.

  • Create high level preliminary route design for all categories of HLE request and provide initial cost based on proposed preliminary route design.
  • Coordinate with fielding team on specific site visit schedules and data gathering requirements.
  • Perform detailed OSP designs specifically adhering to United Design Standards.
  • Develop, draft and prepare all required documents required to issue a fully executable project to Construction.
