A pivotal role exists in our organization for a seasoned professional to spearhead occupational health and safety initiatives. As a Senior Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, developing strategic plans, and implementing evidence-based practices to ensure a culture of safety excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee awareness and skills in areas such as hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures.
  • Conduct regular site audits to monitor compliance with health and safety standards and policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, injuries, and near misses, analyzing data to inform future risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including regulatory agencies, vendors, and industry associations, to stay informed about best practices and emerging trends in occupational health and safety.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as occupational health and safety, environmental science, or industrial hygiene.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in health and safety management.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective health and safety strategies, resulting in significant reductions in incident rates and improved overall safety performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders, from frontline employees to senior executives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and develop actionable recommendations.
