Backend Lead/Head Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Backend Lead/Head to oversee the backend development team working on Node.js-based applications. This role involves designing and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs and backend services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers working on backend development.
  • Establish and enforce coding standards, development best practices, and team workflows.
  • Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end features.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers to enhance their technical and professional growth.

Key Requirements

  • 7+ years of backend development experience, with at least 3 years in Node.js.
  • Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architecture.
  • Experience with Express.js, NestJS, or similar frameworks.
  • Deep knowledge of databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with GraphQL, message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka), and caching strategies.
  • Background in fintech or stock/crypto market platforms.
  • Knowledge of test automation and secure coding practices.
