Job Overview

The role of a Food Services Assistant is to provide support to the store team in maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring food safety and quality, and adhering to established protocols.

This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and transactions
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and procedures
  • Conduct regular checks on storage areas and refrigeration units
  • Monitor and control stock levels, reporting any discrepancies to senior staff
  • Assist with ordering and receiving goods, verifying quantities and condition
  • Participate in monthly stocktakes and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

  • Degree: 2-3 years of related work experience
  • Intermediate: 3-4 years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles
  • Understanding of food commodities and handling practices
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in computer software applications
