Project Manager Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead our development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to motivate and guide the team towards achieving high-quality deliverables on time and on budget.

  1. Develop and implement project plans, ensuring that all aspects of the project are well-coordinated and managed.
  2. Guide the team as an agile coach, promoting best practices and ensuring that the team is empowered to make decisions and take ownership of their work.
  3. Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to quality, teamwork, and open communication.
  4. Assist in team development by removing roadblocks, mentoring team members, and making effective use of organizational resources to improve capacity for project work.
  5. Promote empowerment of the team, ensuring that each team member has a meaningful contribution to make.
  6. Maintain a sustainable pace with high levels of quality for the team.
  7. Present status reports of the project to senior officials, providing clear and concise updates on progress and any challenges faced.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science.
  2. Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  3. Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  4. Minimum 6 to 7 years of experience in Project Management using Agile methodologies.
  5. Hands-on coding/development experience.
  6. Proficient in any programming language (e.g., .Net/C#/PHP).
  7. Strong understanding of scaling databases, SQL/MySQL, and query optimization.
  8. LAMP stack management and deployments.
  9. Understanding of application deployments, CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, Linux, DNS, CDNs, cloud, and application scaling.
  10. Good hands-on experience with Project Management tools like Jira or equivalent.
  11. Experience with geographically distributed development teams.
  12. An excellent track record of successful delivery of medium to large-scale products.
  13. Experience in coordination, requirement understanding & system analysis.
