Job Title: Cyber Security Specialist

As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities in applications and systems. You will work closely with development teams to ensure adherence to secure coding practices and perform penetration testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on web applications, APIs, and network systems using tools like OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, Nessus, and Qualys.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure adherence to secure coding practices and provide guidance on remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct security audits and reviews to ensure systems are compliant with internal security policies and industry regulations such as GDPR, PCI DSS, and ISO 27001.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices by actively engaging in security communities and leveraging threat intelligence feeds.
  • Document and report security findings, recommending actionable mitigation strategies and assisting in the prioritization of remediation efforts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • 2-4 years of experience in security testing, ethical hacking, or penetration testing.
  • Experience with security testing tools: Familiarity with OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, Nessus, Kali Linux, and Wireshark.
  • Certifications: CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional), or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) are a plus.
  • Experience with manual testing and automated testing tools for security testing, along with scripting capabilities to develop custom exploits.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered code assistants, automated testing, and AI-driven DevSecOps tools preferred.

Skills Required:

  • Vulnerability Assessment Tools: OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, Nessus, Qualys.
  • Penetration Testing: Kali Linux, Metasploit, Wireshark.
  • Security Audits & Compliance: GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, OWASP Top 10.
  • Scripting: Knowledge of Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automating security tests and exploiting vulnerabilities.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical thinking to identify potential security flaws and vulnerabilities.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously identify security gaps and vulnerabilities in applications and systems.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to devise practical solutions to complex security problems.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Strong communication skills for reporting security findings and collaborating with technical teams to implement security measures.
