Business Proposal Writer

We are seeking a skilled Business Proposal Writer to join our team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality business proposals and bids that support growth and success.

You will leverage your expertise in proposal management to develop compelling content, conduct market research, and manage the end-to-end bid process. Your strong writing and organizational skills, combined with your ability to work in a fast-paced environment, will enable you to excel in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Research and Draft Proposals: Develop tailored business proposals that meet organizational needs.
  2. Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research to identify current and future trends, opportunities, and challenges.
  3. Bid Submissions: Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and submit high-quality business proposals as bids.
  4. Proposal Query Handling: Address queries related to proposals and raise concerns after assessing Terms of Reference (ToRs).
  5. End-to-End Bid Management: Oversee the entire bid process, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  6. Collaboration and Content Creation: Work with internal stakeholders to contribute to the content and presentation of proposals, including preparing management summaries.
  7. Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure proposals are compliant with organizational requirements and reflect best practices in structure, content, and presentation.
  8. APMP Implementation: Apply Association of Proposal Management Professional (APMP) best practices to deliver high-quality, professional proposals.
  9. Process Improvement: Implement and maintain proposal development tools, templates, and processes for continuous improvement.
  10. Mentorship and Guidance: Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on proposal best practices.
RequirementsQualification and Experience:
  1. Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Business Management/Communication or a related field.
  2. Experience: 2 years of experience in proposal writing or a bidding department is preferred.
  3. Bidding Process Familiarity: Familiarity with bidding processes and RFPs is a plus.
  4. Competitive Bids Success: Proven success in managing and winning competitive bids/proposals.
  5. Microsoft Office Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  6. Proposal Management Software Familiarity: Familiarity with proposal management software and tools is an advantage.
  7. Exceptional Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  8. Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Certification:
  1. APMP Certification: APMP Foundation (or higher) certification is required.
