Medical Billing Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate and timely billing for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Charge Entry and Review
    • Verify accuracy of charge entry to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Payment Posting from EOBs/ERAs
    • Post payments from Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advice (ERAs) to maintain up-to-date financial records
  • Denial Management
    • Manage denials to minimize delays and maximize revenue
  • Appeals Resolution
    • Resolve disputes through written and on-call appeals to improve client satisfaction
  • Effective Communication
    • Utilize strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients

In this position, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of medical billing, including claim follow-up and insurance calls. We are looking for an enthusiastic and workaholic individual with a minimum of six months experience in medical billing. If you have a strong understanding of HITECH and HIPAA rules and regulations, a Bachelor's degree, and excellent verbal communication skills, we encourage you to apply.
