Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to oversee our procurement operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication abilities, as well as the capacity to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchasing Planning: Develop comprehensive plans for the acquisition of equipment, services, and supplies that align with organizational requirements.
  • Product Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments and comparisons of products and services to ensure they meet quality standards and expectations.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing to optimize supply chain efficiency.
  • Supplier Relations: Foster strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to drive collaboration and mutual benefits.
  • Cost Estimation: Establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Supplier Sourcing: Identify potential suppliers and analyze price quotations and quality standards to ensure alignment with organizational criteria.
  • Performance Evaluation: Assess supplier performance based on quality, delivery time, and prices to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Backup Coverage: Assign a coverage person to undertake responsibilities in case of absence or travel.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • IT Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Analytical Approach: Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Communication: Strong verbal communication skills for effective engagement with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience: Previous experience in construction buying/procurement is beneficial but not essential.
  • Educational Background: Business or Construction related discipline, or Bachelor's degree in procurement with 2 years' experience.
