Senior Project Manager

Serves as a strategic leader in the Asset Maintenance and Projects department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads and manages a diverse team of professionals to ensure effective delivery of projects.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership qualities, inspiring and motivating team members to achieve excellence.
  • Coordinates with consultants and contractors to ensure high-quality and timely project completion.
  • Analyzes requirements and prepares corresponding Bill of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates aligned with project needs.
  • Makes informed decisions, navigating challenges and ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Oversees the planning, execution, and completion of civil construction projects within the AS Department or monitors projects executed through relevant construction departments.
  • Develops project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure optimal project delivery.
  • Evaluates bids technically in accordance with the bid document.
  • Ensures adherence to project timelines, milestones, and standards of workmanship.
  • Monitors and controls project costs to meet budgetary constraints and arranges for additional requirements as needed.
  • Fosters a positive and collaborative work environment, providing guidance and support to team members when required.
  • Ensures effective communication within the team and with all stakeholders.
  • Maintains safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Ensures contract compliance and resolves any disputes that may arise during the project.
  • Implements risk management plans to safeguard project success.
  • Demonstrates familiarity with relevant MS Office tools and project management systems.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Head of Department (HoD).

Requirements:

  • Engineering Graduate (Civil) or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 9 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in the Oil and Gas sector.

This role requires a strategic leader with excellent leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to navigate complex projects.
