Job Title: Trade Regulations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Regulations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring that all customs-related activities are conducted in accordance with relevant regulations and laws.

  • You will manage customs and trade compliance across the organization, ensuring understanding of global regulations.
  • Determine Customs classifications and regulatory requirements (licenses, certificates, etc.).
  • Maintain high compliance levels for customs and government agency requirements across all staff and teams.
  • Oversee entry auditing and reporting results and recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure company controls, policies, procedures, processes, and applications are understood by the team and implemented accordingly.
  • Complete internal audits as per client requirements and implement action items.
  • Provide ongoing training on changing trade compliance policies through seminars and conferences.
  • Perform due diligence checks on new customers when required.
  • Verify customer authorizations and keep them up-to-date.
  • Manage the organization's interface with customs authorities.
  • Assist in the implementation and control of new legislations issued by HMRC.
  • Support customers with AEO/Applications.
Key Requirements:
  • Excellent understanding of International Trade, Compliance, and Customs regulations.
  • Knowledge of BIS/ECO/EAR/ITAR regulations.
  • Previous experience in developing business policies and process governance within an international business.
  • Previous exposure to working alongside international government agencies.
  • Strong knowledge of export and import controls essential for this role.
  • AEO application experience beneficial for this role.
