Job Opportunity

A seasoned academic professional is sought to provide research and technical support to a faculty team in developing grant proposals, initiating research activities, running research projects, and collaborating with other departments under faculty guidance.

The ideal candidate will facilitate research programs under supervision to work on new grants proposals and studies, implement research studies/projects, and coordinate with the research office, including execution of ERC.

Key responsibilities include:

  • leading in designing, implementation, and analysis of research studies
  • monitoring and reporting protocol deviations, ensuring adherence to study protocols and SOPs, and overseeing data quality assurance through effective use of technology and monitoring systems
  • recruiting, training, mentoring, and supervising research and field staff according to study protocol and SOPS
  • liaising with project staff, hospital teams, and external stakeholders; fostering effective communication, collaboration, and coordination to ensure smooth project implementation and site performance
  • regularly attending trainings and refreshers, compiling and submitting monthly study reports, and communicating progress, challenges, and solutions to higher management
Requirements

Candidates should have an MBBS/BDS degree with 3-4 years of experience in research and proof of scholarly output. An additional master's degree in public health or a related field is advantageous.

Applicants should also possess excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead a workforce and manage resources effectively, as well as excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and in teams, and establish harmonious working relations at the workplace.

They should be proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office and other relevant software packages for data entry and analysis, and have demonstrated scholarly output in terms of scientific papers, presentations, and reports.

Strong quantitative and analytic skills with experience in SPSS, STATA, or R software are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively in teams and independently, willingness to travel to field sites and internationally if needed, and acceptance of any required additional/new responsibilities when and if required by the study team.
