Job Description

You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, maintenance, upkeep and safety & security of off-campus hostels. Your role will involve ensuring the well-being and comfort of residents, maintaining accurate records of resident information, and preventing unauthorized access to the hostel.

  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in the hostel, including common areas and individual rooms.
  • Keep accurate records of resident information, including contact details and any special requirements.
  • Prevent unauthorized access to the hostel by monitoring entrance and exit points.
  • Be available to provide assistance and support to residents, escalating any issues that cannot be resolved to a supervisor or manager.
  • Ensure that residents do not damage property, furniture or accessories provided by the university, and report any incidents to a supervisor.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in a similar capacity, preferably in a house or office environment.
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with residents and supervisors.
