Instrumentation Engineering Lead

We are seeking an experienced instrumentation engineering professional to join our team. As a key member of our discipline engineering group, you will coordinate with project leads, contractors, clients, and vendors to execute instrumentation engineering activities with minimal supervision.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead small to medium-sized instrumentation projects, ensuring timely and methodical completion of engineering tasks.
  • Effectively plan and follow up on scheduled activities to meet project deadlines.
  • Participate in studies, conceptual designs, and estimate preparation as required.
  • Prepare detailed instrumentation engineering design documents and drawings, including specifications and installation guidelines for process instruments and control systems, ensuring compliance with established engineering standards.
  • Conduct technical reviews of vendor/contractor instrumentation designs to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards and codes.
  • Review and comment on P&IDs, layouts, and other key documents, considering safety, operability, and simplicity.
  • Evaluate and validate engineering data sheets, specifications, and requisitions, as well as technical bid evaluations, vendor document reviews, and approvals.
  • Coordinate with other engineering discipline teams to ensure work progress and quality of deliverables within the discipline area.
  • Analyze and interpret project-related documents to accurately quantify controls and instrumentation scope items.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality design through the use of clear and understandable procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering (B Eng).
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in instrumentation design and project deliveries.
  • Proficiency in relevant oil and gas industry codes and standards, such as API, BS, ISO, ASME, ANSI, IEC, ISA, IEEE, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of management and multinational staff.
