Project Director

We are seeking a seasoned professional to drive our project initiatives forward. As a Project Director, you will be responsible for fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders, programme managers, and software architects. Your role will involve developing, managing, and executing project plans that define scope, schedule, risks, deliverables, and resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster close collaboration and liaison with Customer Stakeholders, Programme Manager, and Software Architect to propel team deliverables and objectives.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of project management processes through process optimization, delivery excellence, and leadership development.
  • Develop, manage, and execute project plans that encapsulate scope, schedule, risks, deliverables, and resources.
  • Utilize Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban, with the ability to adapt between methodologies and tailor them according to project needs.
  • Manage, monitor, and motivate a cross-functional team assigned to the project.
  • Coordinate with Process Audit and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Establish team goals and guide the team to excel in their performance, including conducting bi-annual performance reviews.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science from a reputable institution.
  • 5-8 years of experience in reputable software organisations.
  • Hands-on experience in software development projects.
  • Excellent English communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams with respect and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of Scrum methodology is mandatory.
  • Experience with tools like JIRA and DevOps.
  • Experience in Dynamics365 implementation.
  • Familiarity with CMMi level processes is a plus.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of Agile techniques such as User Stories, Continuous Integration, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, and Agile Games.
  • Strong understanding of Scrum theory, rules, and practices.
  • Comprehension of the fundamentals of iterative and incremental development.
  • Appreciation of the value of metrics and incremental delivery.
  • Ability to commit to and understand the delivery of products on time.
  • Knowledge of tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and user stories.
  • Familiarity with common development practices, service-oriented environments, and Agile practices.
