Junior Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our dynamic team. As a key contributor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial landscape of our company.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing basic accounting functions, including account reconciliation and preparation of supporting schedules. You will also assist in preparing monthly and annual financial statements, as well as participate in annual budget planning and preparation.

To be successful in this position, you must have a strong working knowledge of relevant technical standards and proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel. Excellent analytical and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform basic accounting functions, including account reconciliation and preparation of supporting schedules.
  • Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Participate in annual budget planning and preparation.
  • Evaluate and improve accounting processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve business objectives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accountancy.
  • 1-2+ years of hands-on experience in manual bookkeeping and accounting is required.
  • CPA license is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Able to adapt to changing work requirements and/or strict timetables established for the role.
