Accounts Payable Expert

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to join our finance team as an Accounts Payable Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, payments, and reconciliation.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Reviewing and verifying supplier invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization.
  • Processing supplier payments accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to payment terms and company policies.
  • Reconciling supplier statements, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining good supplier relationships.
  • Collaborating with procurement and other departments to resolve any issues related to purchase orders, invoices, or payments.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date vendor records, including contact information, payment terms, and tax documentation.
  • Assisting in the preparation of accounts payable reports, including aging analysis and cash flow forecasts.
  • Supporting month-end closing activities by providing necessary documentation and reconciliations.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years of proven work experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with international payment processes and regulations is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field / ACCA qualified or finalist.
