Looking for a challenging role in software testing? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the highest quality of our products.

About the Role

This is a mid-junior level position that requires comprehensive understanding of all stages of software testing from test planning to test closure, warranting a high-class end product for the consumer.

The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 1-2 years of experience in software testing or Quality Assurance. They should also have a strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies, as well as experience with bug tracking tools like JIRA.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design, develop and execute manual test cases for web and mobile applications.
  2. Identify, document and track defects, errors and inconsistencies in bug tracking tools.
  3. Perform functional, regression, integration and user acceptance testing on web and mobile platforms.
  4. Collaborate with developers to understand system architecture and with Product Managers to discuss potential fixes along with improvements.
  5. Validate fixes and ensure they resolve the reported defects.
  6. Conduct impact analysis to ensure new changes do not negatively affect existing functionality.
  7. Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes and provide feedback in sprint planning and retrospectives.
  8. Maintain and update test documentation to reflect the latest changes and findings.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in software testing or Quality Assurance.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
  • Experience with bug tracking tools like JIRA.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications

It would be great if you have:

  • Knowledge of SQL and Relational Databases.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing.
  • Experience with using Git and Linux environments.
  • Hands-on experience in API testing, making use of tools like Postman.
