Assistant Manager Material Sourcing Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee material sourcing operations, ensuring timely delivery and effective management of supplier relationships.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Monitor new orders, collaborating with the SSC manager for sample trims and procurement strategies.
  • Develop accessory standards in conjunction with marketing teams to enhance product quality.
  • Obtain quotations from vendors, finalizing rates with the SSC manager.
  • Place purchase orders against required quantities, sending them to suppliers.
  • Follow up with suppliers to receive orders on time, ensuring seamless supply chain management.
  • Approve Goods Received Notes (GRNs) after verifying sample quality drawn by the Control Department.
Key Qualifications:
  • Monitoring: Effective monitoring of all activities and processes to optimize material sourcing.
  • Communication Skills/English: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey information and ideas effectively.
  • Active Listening: Strong active listening skills to understand different perspectives and respond accordingly.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in using computers to operate basic functions and manage data.
  • Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate with various parties to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience in delegating authority, leading by example, and motivating team members.
  • Management of Personnel Resources: Skill in motivating, developing, and directing personnel as they work, identifying top talent for key roles.
  • Time Management: Effective time management to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Coordination: Ability to adjust actions in relation to others' actions to ensure smooth collaboration.
  • Active Learning: Commitment to continuous learning, studying new ideas, and understanding their implications for current and future problem-solving.
