We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Estate and Administrative Trust team. As a key member of our tax practice, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of high-profile clients, helping them navigate complex business opportunities and challenges.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and analyzing fiduciary income tax returns for administrative trusts and estates. This will include managing a portfolio of client relationships, supervising the production of tax return preparation by junior tax professionals, and utilizing cutting-edge technologies for client service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and analyze fiduciary income tax returns for administrative trusts and estates
  • Manage a portfolio of client relationships and/or supervise the production of tax return preparation by junior tax professionals
  • Utilize Thomson Reuters OneSource Trust Tax platform and other cutting-edge technologies for client service delivery
  • Communicate proactively with management regarding potential issues, contributing to the resolution before escalation and aiding in the enhancement of the team's tax technical acumen
  • Respond to inquiries from taxing authorities
Qualifications
  • Minimum three years of recent public accounting experience and/or experience working with income tax returns for administrative trusts and estates
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in business, accounting, finance, taxation, mathematics, economics, information technology, data and analytics, engineering (financial, industrial or systems) or related fields; accounting and taxation is preferred
  • Must have or be pursuing the state-specific education requirements to be a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA)
  • Experience using Thomson Reuters OneSource Trust Tax platform and intermediary knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code as it relates to trusts and estates
  • Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills
