Job Overview:
The Program Engineer will be responsible for driving business growth, expanding our customer base, and leading sales efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced sales professional to join our team and contribute to our success.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through market research and customer outreach.
- Conduct sales calls, prepare and deliver company presentations.
- Lead sales enquiries, understand customer requirements, and collaborate with internal technical teams to submit project proposals.
- Process and monitor request for quote processes, from initial contact to proposal submission for management review.
- Formalize quotations and proposals, submit them to customers, and follow up.
- Establish rapport, build relationships, and maintain constant liaison with customers on future projects.
- Provide sales projections and forecasts.
- Interact with internal teams on new project development.
- Establish assembly process instructions and test plans.
- Consolidate assembly process evaluation or test reports for review and control.
- Ensure parts or components are ready for assembly pilot runs.
- Ensure manufacturing process documentation complies with and is updated regularly.
- Liaise on assembly fixtures, tools, and equipment.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
- At least 3 years of sales experience in the plastic injection molding industry.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Confidence when conducting presentations.
- Proactive negotiation skills with customers and suppliers.
- Able to follow up on sales accounts and maintain sales performance.
- Comfortable working in the East area, specifically Changi South.
