Sustainability Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainability Manager to lead our Environmental Management System. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, management, or a related field and be certified in environmental management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sustainable practices across the organization, ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 standards and other relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential environmental impacts and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Work closely with stakeholders to establish measurable environmental objectives and targets, and monitor progress toward achieving them.
- Promote awareness of environmental responsibilities and sustainability practices among employees.
- Establish and maintain systems for monitoring and measuring environmental performance, including waste management and resource efficiency initiatives.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and develop reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related field.
- Certification in Environmental Management (e.g., Certified Environmental Professional) is highly desirable.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in implementing and managing environmental management systems, preferably within an ISO 14001 framework.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze data and drive continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with sustainability principles and initiatives.
