Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Alternative Investment Fund Administrator to join our team. As an Associate in our Private Equity and Real Estate Services Fund Administration department, you will be responsible for managing private equity funds and other alternative investment vehicles.

Your duties will include preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports, supporting investor relations activities, bookkeeping, reconciliation, fee calculations, and process improvements.

You will also assign and manage work, perform detailed reviews, provide guidance and training, coordinate with stakeholders, and support the audit process.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Accounting or related field
  • At least 7 years of accounting experience in private equity or hedge fund accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
  • Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Highly organized, motivated, and open to process improvement

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review journal entries booked into Investran
  • Prepare and review fund-level financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, statement of partners' capital, investment schedules, footnotes, and cash flows. Review investor capital calls and distribution notices.
  • Understand fund agreements to determine their impact on setup and reporting
  • Lead special and ad hoc projects for internal initiatives and external clients
  • Maintain strong client relationships and support the audit process
  • Develop team members through setting objectives, providing performance feedback, and monitoring adherence to control procedures
  • Evaluate current processes and technology, working with management to improve efficiency
  • Collaborate with internal functional groups
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of private equity legal and investment structures
  • Familiarity with waterfall models
  • Experience with partnership accounting applications (e.g., Investran)
  • Experience working in a global operating model
