  • Salary and Job Description:
    • The primary role of this position is to provide strategic direction and leadership in minimizing Unaccounted for Gas (UFG) throughout the company's network. This involves efficiently managing gas supply to end consumers with minimal possible losses, adhering to international standards and targets provided by senior management.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences, preferably with 17 years of post-qualification experience, including 5 years in a senior management or leadership role.
    • Possession of an MBA from a reputable university/institution recognized/accredited by HEC is desirable.
    • Demonstrated strategic leadership experience in Process Improvement, with strong qualifications and credentials.
    • Familiarity with Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies is an added advantage.

About the Role:

This role requires a seasoned professional who can lead the efforts to minimize UFG. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering or physical sciences, with significant experience in senior management or leadership roles. A demonstrated track record of process improvement and strategic leadership will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Examine Strategic Issues: Identify alternative options to address UFG issues, determine data requirements to support pros and cons of each option, and facilitate stakeholder selection of action steps.
  2. Coordinate Data Gathering: Collect periodic and on-demand data from operational departments for required analysis to discover points/activities that need addressing for minimizing UFG.
  3. Advise Department Personnel: Provide guidance on the direction of analysis and presentation of findings to UFG department personnel.
  4. Provide Guidelines: Offer UFG guidelines to concerned SSGC departments/sections to secure and ensure gas transmission & distribution-related assets.
  5. Monitor Progress: Review progress on management's goals and Key Monitoring Indicators to reduce UFG, identify any adverse tendencies, engage concerned departments/entities, and make efforts to resolve problems.
