Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Assistant to join our team. As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for performing bookkeeping tasks, preparing annual accounts, and filing VAT returns in compliance with UK regulations.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, proficiency in accounting software like FreeAgent, Xero, CCH, and a solid understanding of UK VAT rules and HMRC filing processes.
About the Role
This is an entry-level position that requires a proactive individual with personal drive, strong planning and organizational skills, time management skills, and experience with reconciling control accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping Tasks
- Perform bookkeeping tasks for medical and SME clients.
- Annual Accounts Preparation
- Assist in preparing annual accounts for practitioners and businesses.
- VAT Returns Filing
- Filing VAT returns in compliance with UK regulations.
- Financial Records Maintenance
- Maintaining and updating financial records using Excel and accounting software.
Additional Requirements
